I’m surprised at how often I’m asked the same question…
“So what is it that you do?” “What is your title?”
My answer is always the same, the title really doesn’t matter!
People who know me personally, call me the “Tiger Mom” or the “No-Nonsense Action Coach”.
I just see myself as a stay at home, single mom who wants more out of life. I have a passion to help others to rise up and make the most of their lives. Pushing through the challenges of my own personal experiences has allowed me to overcome obstacles to make it to where I am today. I am now able to enjoy a life of freedom, allowing me to stay at home with my children.
When I immigrated to the US with my family at the age of 18, I didn’t speak any English. Today I speak 4 languages.
I was so determined to make a life in the U.S, it meant everything to me. I seemed to let go of everything and everyone that was important to me. I neglected my family and friends. I neglected my health and I neglected taking care of my home.
I spent very little time doing anything other than becoming educated and learning to speak English. One thing I knew for sure is that I didn’t want to “wash the big cookie”. I couldn’t fathom the idea of washing dishes for the rest of my life in a family restaurant.
My story really starts…
In 2014, I made the tough decision to walk away from a stable, 6 figure Assistant Principal job in a public high school.
I thought many times that I must be crazy to walk away from a secure, well-paying career. I had worked so hard to get to where I am today.
However, I couldn’t stand the pain it caused my 2 beautiful young children, the fact that I was never around for them. It broke my heart knowing they were growing up so fast and I seemed to be missing it all.
That pain was a powerful motivator for me.
Soon after walking away from my career, I found myself very depressed, I realized that I had no Plan B. What was worse was that I couldn’t really talk to anyone close to me about what I was going through. In a traditional Asian family, you go to school, get good grades, graduate, get a job, get married, have kids, then work until you retire… so I was the black sheep in the family, I broke all the rules!
It wasn’t long and I came up with a solution, I thought, I’ll do what I know best. I started a tutoring business and business was great, however, it became apparent that the same cycle was starting all over again. I was not home when my daughter came home from school. My business became busier and more clients wanted after school and evening tutoring, demanding more and more of my time, meaning less time with my kids and my family.
It was time to expand the business or say no to clients. I couldn’t make money if I wasn’t physically there.
At that time, I was given advice by a small business advisor from a local community college, “When you say YES to your clients, you are saying NO to your kids.”
That really hit home for me…
That’s when I made the decision that this is not a business model I want to continue.
It was at the same time that I discovered the Network Marketing Industry – a business model that made total sense to me and how I wanted to live my life. A business model that would allow me to leverage myself and my time, so I could be at home with my kids.
In 2014, I started my Network Marketing industry journey.
I really wish I could tell you that everything was rainbows and unicorns when I started my business. In fact, NO!!!! The first 2 years of my network marketing experience, were horrible. Not only, did I not make any money, I lost friends in the process.
My husband didn’t support my decision to start a business from home, which made life even more difficult. Even though he wanted to believe in what I was doing, there came a time he saw me struggling to make it work for far too long, and told me I should get a “real” job. I’m sure you can Imagine what that does for your confidence, your doubts creep in and you wonder can this really work? Do I really have what it takes to make this happen?
Despite all that, the fact that I was coachable and worked my tail off day and night, I was more determined than ever to prove to myself that I could become successful. In fact, it was very much like a full-time job. I was always out networking with people and posting on social media. Like many who just discover this industry, I was trying to figure it all out.
In the summer of 2016, my marriage was over, I was newly divorced. Now, along with my 2 young children, I was in danger of losing our home. Never before had I felt my back was against the wall and so alone. I had to make a decision, do I go back to teaching or tutoring or do I figure this work from home thing out?
That’s when I became determined to learn how to market effectively. I did not want to become one of the 95% of marketers who struggle and eventually quit. I could not afford to quit, I had to become the 5% that are successful, I knew I had no other choice.
My goal was to become skilled enough to attract people to come to me. I was introduced to an online marketing educational platform, which I call the online marketing university. I’ve been fortunate to learn everything about attraction marketing: How to brand myself, become the superstar, and become the talk of the town in my community. Some have said, I was like lightning and became a leader that everyone wanted to know instantly. Truth be told, I committed myself to the process and have never looked back since.
The online Marketing University empowered me with personal development in terms of mindset, closing skill sets, and all the marketing tools I could ever need to leverage my business online. Now I never have to worry about money or my future ever again.
It has become my passion to help other struggling network marketers and affiliate marketers pursue their dreams. I especially want to help parents who want to stay at home with their kids and create a total freedom lifestyle.
One of the biggest struggles I often see, is too many marketers get stuck in “learning mode”, and become one of those professional students who never take action in their business.
I help entrepreneurs to get unstuck and start taking the right actions so they can finally become profitable in their business.
I have been fortunate enough to remain friends with my ex-husband and that has helped with raising our children to be happy, and teaching them good values. I love what I do, and my dreams and goals have become my reality. I’ve worked very hard to get to where I am today and it hasn’t been easy! However, with much determination, I’m finally home full time with my kids and loving my life!
